The George Master Garment Corp. of Legonier, Indiana made some of the finest monogrammed and embroidered work uniforms (and bowling shirts) in America in the '40s and '50s. In an era when work uniforms were produced in sharp, military-esque styles, Master Garment's shirts, jackets, pants, coveralls and hats came in high quality sanforized gabardines and "army cloth" twills that were made to last. They offered a complete program of single stitch embroidery and chainstitching for names and logos, serving clients of "every industry".
Incredible late '40s/early '50s ricky jacket made of a lightweight yet durable khaki twill with killer heavy chainstitch embroidered logo for Wise Dairy. Amazing details typical to the time period, with beautiful Bakelite buttons, original Talon zipper and solid construction. Short, waist-length style jacket with two large chest pockets, button latch cuffs and adjustable button tab waist. "Jim" is embroidered at the left chest. A stunning piece of early-to-midcentury American workwear in unbelievable condition. Made in USA.
