We're excited to share this one with you! It would be nearly impossible to overstate how rare, special or incredible this jacket is. Made by Paris luxury haute couture leather label Mac Douglas, this is an ultra high-end, exact replica of the jacket worn during WW2 by Swedish motorcycle dispatch drivers working for the Secret Service.
Far surpassing the original in terms of beauty, quality and construction, it's made of a stunning shrunken lambskin leather and lined in luxurious cashmere and wool. It features too many incredible details to list: the large front pocket was originally used by drivers in the war to transport important documents, plus two front handwarmer pockets and two interior pockets. The front is a double-flap closure with a buttoned interior flap, plus outer flap that uses loop button closures and two gorgeous toggles made of bone. The collar and waist feature hook-and-clasp closures, and there are two elastic side panels in the hem.
An incredibly rare, exquisite jacket in absolutely perfect condition.
Please note these jackets, like the originals, are cut generously oversized to accommodate other cold weather gear underneath; there are two large underarm gussets which expand with arm movement. Chest measurements are taken seam-to-seam across the body and more accurately represent the intended sizing, which is about a 38/40.
