Seafarer invented the familiar denim bell-bottom US Navy dungaree in 1896. The flared leg was just the thing for sailors who often needed to quickly hike up their pants when washing the deck. Flared leg trousers had been in use by the Navy since the early 19th century, but Seafarer's denim version it adopted in 1901 became the iconic style later worn by celebrities in the '60s and '70s like Jane Birkin and Farah Fawcett.
This is a homemade pair of 60s/70s dungarees in beautiful condition with nice wear and mends.
