Even if we could stop ourselves from gushing about how special this dress is, you'd know just by looking at it, wouldn't you? If "they don't make 'em like they used to" was a dress, it'd be this dress - and like all the best pieces we find, you can imagine the immense time, care and skill that went into making it with just a glance.
Handmade in the '70s, with original ILGWU union tag, this dreamy sleeveless stunner has an almost unbelievable amount of darling details. Endlessly whimsical, with a metric ton of crochet appliqué in a variety of patterns, delicate lace and beautiful pleating. The fabric is a lovely rustic vintage cotton, with all the inimitable character and more natural colouring that only older, less processed fabrics possess. V-neck line with a darted bodice and long, A-line skirt.
