Lilly Pulitzer wasn't known as "The Queen of Prep" for nothing; her iconic bright, floral dresses revolutionized preppy womenswear in American high society, worn by Kennedys, Whitneys and Vanderbilts alike. Originally selling her "Lillys" out of an orange juice stand in Florida, business took off when Jackie O was photographed wearing one of her dresses, bringing her philosophy of "Everything is possible with sunshine and a little pink" to the masses.
Lilly believed it was "always summer somewhere" and never made cold weather clothes; her carefree philosophy extended to her intention that her summer dresses be worn with bare feet and were always lined so as not to require underwear.
Stunning mid-'60s Lilly in signature bright floral print with adjustable button straps. Ankle length. Lace taped seam at hem. Zip-up back. Fully lined. Woven name tag for previous owner is afixed inside! Tagged size 12.
