There are few leather jackets more coveted or iconic than the original US Navy G-1 Flight Jacket. Rivaled only by the USAF A-2, which the G-1 replaced, this is the holy grail of leather jackets and one of the most timelessly cool garments ever produced.

Originally issued in WW2 as the M-422/a and standardized in 1947, the G-1 continues to be issued to US Navy pilots to this day. From off-duty pilots cruising the streets to Tom Cruise in Top Gun, its impact on civilian style and popular culture is enormous.

Manufactured by Star Sportswear Mfg. Corp. in 1973. Marked a size 38. Mouton collar. Chin strap. Good vintage condition.

Flat Measurements:
Armpit to Armpit: 21”
Shoulder to Shoulder: 18”
