First introduced in the early 1920s these jackets remain state-of-the-art in regards of design and quality. They are an extremely rare part of US navy military history.
The USN Shawl Collar denim Jackets are a thing of beauty. This particular version is extremely soft and broken in indigo denim.
These jackets were made for general work and labor on the deck of post-war Battleships, and like most US Navy denim military garments are incredibly difficult to find.
Two large pockets, shawl collar, holes for elastic/string on either side, original tag missing but stitching leftover.
