Craft Sportswear Limited opened their factory at 366 Adelaide St. West in 1946. They remained there making primarily outwear under their "Craft of Canada" label until at least 1964. Chatham, Ontario's Branch 431 Legion Bantams won the Ontario Baseball Association championships 6 times from 1953 to 1966 and paved the way to Chatham's reputation for producing pro players and winning championships.
This is a beautiful midcentury baseball jacket from the golden era of sportswear. Striped rib knit collar, cuffs and hem, on a heavyweight wool body, raglan sleeves with decorative piping, two handwarmer pockets and snap closure. OBA and WCBA Chatham champion patches on chest. Canadian Legion patch on right arm, number patch on left. Made in Canada.
